Aircraft refuellers design already starts with the type of aircraft to be refuelled. For general aviation, one will prefer an all-round tanker of 13 to 20.000L equipped with a water filter separator and measuring device of 80 to 120 m3/h with 2 long hoses, one for underwing operations, the second intended for gun refuelling.
A working platform can also be chosen. For cargo activities we often opt for a larger tank capacity of 65 to 85.000 L. The choice of truck chassis ranges from diesel powered, hybrid to electric.
Hydrant dispensers are designed and built to meet the flow rates and pressures of the hydrant system. During design, consideration is given to the size and type of aircraft to be tanked that will impact filtration.
Flow rates can range from 1.500 to 4.000l/min.
Each dispenser is provided with a telescopic working platform up to 4.2 m including an access ladder. Depending on the desired flows, 1 or 2 underwing short hoses are provided on the platform. One or two additional reels with long hoses, underwing or overwing, complete the equipment.
The choice of chassis-cab, tractor is also variable: from a classic diesel-powered engine, hybrid to electric-powered.
It is also regularly opted for an extensive renovation of existing aircraft refuellers which will again meet the latest technologies and most stringent filtration and electronic measurement requirements of JET A-1. In addition, maintenance contracts are offered to meet to the JIG requirements.
